At Adorea Kennels, we strive to produce healthy puppies. We make sure that the Dams and Sires are healthy by having their eyes, hips, and elbows certified. We know that a dog might live with you for over a decade, so we try to give your dog a solid head start in life by producing physically healthy puppies.
We all want to hunt 365 days a year but let's face it, that is not possible; if we are lucky, we might be able to pursue wild game 10 to 15 times a year. If we hunt at a game preserve, we might hunt more, but we live with our dogs 365 days a year. So a calm temperament is a must-have trait for our dogs. When dogs are not hunting or training, they must be pleasant to be around; we feel that a calm dog makes a good household companion.
We raise all our dogs in the house; no kennels for our dogs. Raising them in the house gives us the unique opportunity to evaluate them for a good household companion dog. We pamper our dogs; they ride with us, they sleep on our couches or in our beds. When possible, we take them with us on vacation. This will produce a well-rounded, biddable dog in the field and a great companion in the house. We strongly suggest our clients raise their puppy in the house, by doing so, we have discovered that the puppy will bond strongly with you and hunt harder for you when they are in the field.
Our dogs make for great household companions, but we prefer that our dogs go to hunting families. These dogs are bred to do a job, and they are the happiest when they are allowed to do that job. They will be glad to hang out with you by your side, watch a football game, but their genetic makeup longs for outdoor activity, especially hunting.
